ILOSTAT is hosted by the ILO Department of Statistics,
the focal point to the UN for labour statistics.
We aim to:
- provide relevant, timely and comparable labour statistics,
- develop international standards for better measurement of labour issues and enhanced international comparability, and
- help member States develop and improve their labour statistics.
What we stand by
As Director-General of the ILO, I would like to express our full commitment to the compliance with those Principles as stated in https://unstats.un.org/unsd/methods/ statorg/principles_stat_activities/ principles_stat_activities.pdf
The ILO's adherence to those principles is fully in line with the resolution of the United Nations General Assembly on the "Fundamental Principles of Official Statistics" in 2014.
Our staff is fully committed to providing excellent customer service to data users, data producers, constituents and partners.
We have a wealth of expertise in the Department and we are eager to achieve our goals by working together. Only then can we ensure labour statistics play their crucial role in evidence-based policy making.
